It is our pleasure to enclose photographs of “Palm Meadows”, our Eco Friendly, project situated on the foot hills of the Nilgiris, at Karamadai.

The project is located just 4 kms off Karamadai town, 34 kms from the city of Coimbatore and within forty minutes of driving time to either the airport or the main railway station. Coonoor, the first prominent town in the Nilgiris, is only an hour and twenty minutes away. The two national highways, namely Sathy road (NH 209) leadingto Mysore/Bangalore is twenty minutes away and NH 67 to Ooty, is ten minutes away. Located between these two National highways and three minutes away from the state highway, (SH168 which connects NH 67 to NH 209) Palm Meadows is accessible from Coimbatore, through at least three main roads and any number of smaller panchayat roads.

More than 16 educational institutions (from schools to colleges to professional engineering colleges) are located, within five minutes to half an hour’s drive from Palm Meadows.  

The, well recognized Vidyaa Vikas Group of Schools is two kilometers away and Christ the King International School & Engineering college which is a km away.

Mettupalyam, which is the last town before ascending the Western Ghats to Nilgiris, is 10 kms away and has reasonably well equipped hospitals and services of a midsized town. The frequency of the local rail services from Metupalayam to Coimbatore via Karamadai has increased to 4 trips per day and connectivity from Coimbatore junction is pan India. Medical facility in Coimbatore is nationally recognized & most multi specialty services are half an hour away.

Palm Meadows is at an altitude of approximate 1,100 Feet above MSL& the entire campus of approx.17 acres has a spectacular view of almost 180 degrees of the Western Ghats. The view of the Ghats on clear days and monsoon months are a treat.  Rain bearing clouds hugging the high ranges and the panoramic spectacle of the waterfalls during the monsoon are best enjoyed from Palm Meadows.
The salient features of the project are;
*      A Gated Community, conceptualized towards Eco friendly living.
*      Fully fenced-The entire 17 acres has a compound wall supported with fencing.
*      Vaastu Compliant layout with the Southwest boundary nearly 15’ higher than the northeastentrance.
*      Planting & Greening program –Approximately 2000 trees &shrubs.
*      Flowering trees have been planted along each road on a theme. eg. Gulmohar avenue with red flowers, Main Internal road on Yellow flowers (Peltophorums) Brahmastanam Road with Pink flowers ( Cassia ) and like wise the 10 odd roads have been planned and the trees are between 12 to 18 feet height today .
The main idea being a pleasant feeling and the riot of colours, through out
            the year.
*      Fruit Trees : Each plot has been planted with a careful selection of a variety of fruit trees so that the owner will enjoy fresh fruits for almost eight to nine months of the year .The fruit trees have been planted as per Vaastu on the southern and western boundaries leaving the Centre, east and north fully open for the home to be established.
Two aromatic trees have been planted, namely champak (yellow and white
            Variety) and Millingtonia, an Ivory coloured flower.
Every plot would have the shade of at least 17-20 trees from both the fruit
        trees, within the plot and the flowering trees on its perimeter.
*      Rain Water Harvesting Systems- To conserve water and retain/increase ground water charge in the area, rainwater harvesting Systems have been put in place with the help of cement rings and dry stone masonary pits .The total capacity created to harvest water is in excess of 400,000 litres of water. This has turned the project, into a green belt, with sighting of many a species of butterflies and birds.
*      Water Conservation- All plants are supported by drip irrigation, resulting in control & prudent use of water. Since the entire layout is tapered the water flows from storage tanks by gravity!
*      Conservation of Energy- Solar Lights have been installed on all avenues for street lighting.
*      Rejuvenation of Soil- Not to pollute the soil, only organic fertilizers are utilized.
*      Road Width - The main avenue is 36 feet and all secondary roads are 23 feet wide.
*      Domestic water supply: All the plots have been connected by pipelines supportedby a storage tank, besides the water that is stored in our own captive open well with a capacity of at least 3 lakh litres when full. We have a back up Bore Well.
*      Composting- All green matter is collected and composted at the project, thus generating our own organic fertilizer.
*      Temperatures- The temperatures in the campus is 3-5 degrees lower than the outside temperature due to the abundance of green cover and with the hope that a/c ‘s may not have to be used.
*      Security: 24 Hour Security
